Covered with velvet, fully lined. Uses stiff buckram. Choice of print or solid fabrics cotton or
satin. Silk is available (additional fee). Matching or coordinating guimp trim, long fabric ties
and lace ruffle. Fabric ruffle at the front and back of the bonnet. Also includes 2 fabric bows
on either side or a cluster of rosettes. Other trims and upgrades are available. Reenactors,
please contact for period correct upgrades, as minimal amount of hot glue is used for the guimp
The 1840s bonnet features a wider brim and a longer ruffle at the back of the neck and fabric ties. Lace trim is also on the brim.
Available are the prairie bonnets or sun bonnets with fabric ties, brim and elastic at the back of the neck.
A handkerchief hat were also worn inside, self made short brim without stiffener and elastic at the back of the neck.
Also available to add lace to the prairie bonnet.
Victorian Mop/Mob Hat
The mop hat is available in cotton or satin. It is adjustable with ribbon. Shown is using wide lace trim. Also available without trim or narrow trim.
Gone With The Wind Return to Tara Hat
Oval hat form is used for this hat. It has ruffles around the top of the brim, gathered top of the hat and embroidered sheer or lace decoration with 12" long tail. Exact embroidered sheer will vary.
Ladies and girls always wore decorations in their hair. We have some tapestry ribbons available to make the open rose style
that we made from ribbon. This is also beautiful is double faced satin or taffeta ribbon. Size varies: 2" wide ribbon have 6 open roses, 1.5" wide ribbon have 7 open roses.

The braided style can be made from 1 or 2 colors of satin ribbon with small rosettes on the side with streamers.
We also have a small floral style with ribbon streamers on the side. This version also shows a lace veil for the back. The veil can be added to any of our styles.
